A coastal dune path opens between two scrubby vegetation masses toward a distant ocean and darkening sky. This is a painting about a specific and familiar moment — that last warmth of light on pale sand just before a storm closes over, when the air holds its breath and everything goes still. Painted from memory and decades of moving through South Australian coastal landscapes, it captures the charged stillness of a place poised between one state and another.
Varnished, wired and presented in a natural Tasmanian Oak floating frame.
