Aren't memories just precious?
Sometimes they just pop into my consciousness completely out of the blue.
This work was inspired by lovely memories of visits to my dear old Nanny's house. It was filled with such treasures. This particular vase stood out - tall and slender, hand painted with gold leaf. Fragments of other memories are also infused into this whimsical piece in a celebration of the generations who are no longer with us.
