Painted from an immersive, ground-level position among the coastal rocks, this work places the viewer inside the landscape rather than before it. The tidal platform, the churning cove water, the distant headland — all rendered with the physical authority of someone who has spent long hours in exactly this kind of place. Time and Tide was recognised with an award at the Victor Harbor Art Show in January 2026 and represents some of the most resolved and spatially complex work in this collection.
